Remembrance That Bears Fruit
Fruit Treebute Tree FAQs
Why choose a fruit tree as a memorial?
A fruit tree turns remembrance into a living legacy that keeps giving. Each year it blooms and bears fruit, so honoring a loved one or pet becomes part of the seasons, a harvest to share and remember them by.
Which fruit memorial trees are easiest for beginners?
The Contender Peach and the Meyer Lemon Tree are reliable, rewarding choices, and multi-variety trees like the Fruit Cocktail Tree and 3-in-1 Apple offer several fruits on one tree. Every product page explains the care each one needs.
Can fruit memorial trees grow in containers or indoors?
Some can. The Meyer Lemon Tree, for example, grows well in a pot and can even live indoors near a bright window, while patio varieties like the Bonanza Patio Peach are bred for container life. Product pages note which trees suit pots and indoor spaces.
How long until a memorial fruit tree bears fruit?
It depends on the variety and its care, but many begin bearing within a few growing seasons after planting. Your Treebute planting guide includes care tips to help your tree establish and fruit well.
Do I need more than one tree for fruit?
Not always. Some varieties are self-pollinating, and our multi-graft trees, like the Fruit Cocktail Tree and 3-in-1 Apple, are designed to pollinate themselves on a single tree. Each product page tells you whether a partner tree is needed.
Do I need any gardening experience?
No. Every Treebute kit arrives with the tree and simple, step by step instructions. If you can follow a recipe, you can plant your tree.
What is included in a Treebute order?
Each Treebute kit includes a young, healthy tree or plant (size you select), simple planting instructions, and your personalized memorial message. One thoughtfully packaged kit, everything arrives together, ready to plant.
Can a memorial tree be planted with cremation ashes?
Yes, a memorial tree can be planted with cremation ashes as a meaningful option for those who choose it. Ashes need proper preparation before planting, since untreated cremains can affect soil chemistry, and your Treebute planting guide walks you through doing it safely. Many families also plant their tree without ashes, and the tribute is just as meaningful either way.
What if something is wrong with my tree?
Every Treebute order is backed by our 30-day Care Guarantee. If your tree or kit arrives in poor condition, is the wrong variety, or does not meet reasonable quality expectations, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will make it right, with a replacement, a full refund, or store credit, your choice. Because dormant winter trees need time to wake up, orders placed between November 1 and February 28 are covered through May 15. After planting, a tree's health depends on care and conditions in your own space, so we include clear planting and watering guidance, and our team is here whenever you have questions.
Where does Treebute ship?
We ship anywhere in the connected lower 48 states. Because trees are matched to growing conditions, the varieties available to you may depend on your climate. Due to state restrictions, we do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii, or outside the United States.
