A Living Tribute Rooted In Love

Indoor Planting Care Guide

This guide provides simple steps for planting and caring for your tribute tree.

💡 Not ready to plant right away? Keep the plant in its nursery pot, well-watered, and out of direct sun or strong wind.

1. Unpack Promptly

Remove any fabric sleeves, tape, or ties.

Water thoroughly and let the plant rest a few days.

2. Choose the Right Container

Use a clean planter with multiple drainage holes.

If incorporating cremation ashes, we recommend a 14”+ diameter pot for proper dilution.

3. Mix with Meaning

If incorporating cremation ashes, blend them first with the Treebute® organic soil blend as instructed.

Then mix with 2x the amount of high-quaity potting soil.

Plant with or without ashes - your tree is meaningful either way.

4. Plant Thoughtfully

Add 4–6 inches of potting mix to the bottom of the container.

Gently loosen roots, place the plant in the center, and keep the top of the root ball level with the soil line.

Fill in around the sides and lightly press to remove air pockets.

5. Water Thoroughly

Water until excess drains from the bottom.

In warm weather, expect to water 2–3 times per week.

In winter, water sparingly – once every 2-3 weeks when temperatures are above freezing.

6. Place with Care

Choose a well-lit spot (direct or indirect depending on species).

Add a tray to catch excess water or wheeled dolly, if needed.
