Warranty and Care Guarantee
At Treebute, we pour care into every tree, plant, and kit we deliver. Whether you've purchased a Treebute to honor a loved one or pet, to create a personal memorial, or as a meaningful gift, each one is meant to grow as a lasting expression of life and remembrance.
Our 30-day Guarantee
Every Treebute order is backed by a 30-day guarantee from the date of delivery. If something is not right, contact us within that window and we will make it right. Please reference your order number and a brief description of the concern. We may ask for photos to help us understand the issue and confirm eligibility quickly.
For orders placed between November 1 and February 28, your coverage automatically extends through May 15. Dormant trees planted in winter need time to show growth in spring, and we want you to have the space to see that happen before your guarantee expires.
What qualifies for a replacement or refund
Your order may qualify if the tree or kit is a different variety than what you ordered, or if the item does not meet reasonable quality expectations upon arrival.
If your claim is approved, you may choose from three remedies: a replacement tree or kit, a full refund to your original payment method, or store credit. If a return of non-plant items is needed, Treebute will arrange it at no cost to you. Refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days of claim approval.

What is not covered:
Shipping stress:
Live plants may look tired after shipment but typically recover well with proper watering, light, and time. Shipping stress is considered normal and is not a defect.
Natural variation:
Each tree and plant is unique, with natural differences in size, shape, and seasonal appearance. These variations are not considered defects.
Claims outside the guarantee window:
Claims made after the 30-day inspection period are not eligible for replacement, refund, or credit.
Post-planting care:
Once planted, the health of your tree depends on care and environmental conditions outside our control. We cannot guarantee long-term survival after planting.
Cremation ashes without soil blend:
If you choose to incorporate cremation ashes, they must be combined with Treebute® organic soil blend. The blend is specifically formulated to balance the high pH and sodium levels found in ashes, making the planting environment safe for your tree. Incorporating cremation ashes without Treebute's organic soil blend will void the warranty.
Non-plant items
Non-perishable components of your order, including accessories, containers, and add-on items, are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery in their original, unused condition. Please contact us before sending anything back so we can provide return instructions.
