3-in-1 Apple Tree Treebute

One Tree. Three Varieties. A Living Tribute That Keeps Giving.

The 3-in-1 Apple Tree is a productive outdoor fruit tree that carries three different apple varieties on a single grafted trunk. In spring, it opens with clusters of fragrant pink-white blossoms. From summer through fall, it yields a staggered succession of apples across the season, with each variety ripening at a different time.

Each Treebute is a complete memorial tree kit designed to be planted at home, a hands-on ritual that many people find grounding and healing.

The act of planting gives your hands something purposeful to do and creates meaning, forming a living connection that continues to grow.

Why You'll Love the 3-in-1 Apple Tree

  • Three Harvests, One Tree: Three apple varieties are hand-grafted onto a single trunk. Because the different apple varieties ripen at different times, you'll have a longer harvesting season to enjoy.
  • Beginner-Friendly Care: Apple trees are forgiving and well-documented. Sun, water, and an annual late-winter pruning are the main requirements. This tree does not demand advanced gardening knowledge.
  • Grows With Your Space: Thrives in outdoor yards and can also be planted in a large container for patios, giving flexibility as life changes.
  • Decades of Growth: Well-maintained semi-dwarf apple trees live for 35 years or more. This is not a seasonal plant or a container display. It is a tree that will mark time, return each spring, and continue producing for many years after it is planted.

While we cannot guarantee the exact varieties you will get, it will be three of the following:

  • Honeycrisp
  • Haralred
  • Zestar
  • Honeygold
  • Granny Smith
  • Fuji
  • Gala

Nurturing Your Memorial Tribute

  • Light: Plant in a sunny spot with 6+ hours of direct sunlight for the best fall color.
  • Water: Water regularly during the first growing season. Once established, [insert name] is drought-tolerant and only needs extra water during extended dry spells.
  • Space: Allow at least 40 feet of clearance for mature growth - 3-in-1 Apple Tree loves room to spread its branches.

That's it: 3-in-1 Apple Tree is remarkably resilient and adapts to most soil types. It practically thrives on benign neglect once its roots take hold.

Each moment caring for 3-in-1 Apple Tree becomes a quiet act of remembrance.

Optional: Plant with Cremation Ashes - The Treebute® Difference

For those wishing to incorporate cremation ashes, your kit includes the option to add our Treebute® organic soil blend. This specially formulated mixture creates a safe, nurturing foundation for your [insert name], addressing the elevated pH and sodium levels present in cremation ashes.

Your [insert name] is meaningful with or without ashes. This is simply another way to honor someone you love.

What if they're not ready to plant right away?

The kit includes simple instructions to care for your tree until planting time. Many customers plant on a significant date, a birthday, an anniversary, or another day that feels right.

Can this 3-in-1 Apple Tree be shipped directly to someone as a gift?

Yes. Treebute ships directly to the recipient. At checkout, enter the recipient's address as the shipping address and include a personalized message. The kit arrives packaged and ready to plant.

Is a fruit-bearing tree appropriate as a memorial gift?

Many people find that a fruit tree carries a particular kind of meaning as a memorial. It produces visibly, returns each spring, and grows more productive over time. The 3-in-1 Apple Tree is a practical and lasting tribute, not a decorative plant. Whether the recipient is an experienced gardener or has never planted before, the kit includes everything needed to get started.

Can I grow it in a container or indoors?

The 3-in-1 Apple Tree is primarily suited to in-ground planting in a sunny outdoor location. It can be grown in a large container on a patio for a period of years, particularly in zones where it needs winter protection, but container growing will limit the tree's long-term size and productivity compared to in-ground planting.

Can I plant a memorial tree with cremation ashes?

Yes. Treebute Kits include the option to add our Treebute® organic soil blend, specially formulated to safely mix with cremation ashes and offset the naturally high pH and sodium levels present in cremation ash, creating a nurturing foundation for root development

Is this easy to care for? We are not experienced gardeners.

Yes. Apple trees are one of the most forgiving and well-documented fruit trees available. The main requirements are six to eight hours of sun per day, consistent watering during the first season, and one annual pruning in late winter before new growth begins. The kit includes a full care guide. Many first-time planters find the routine straightforward and even enjoyable.

Can I plant ashes without any special soil treatment?

We strongly advise against it and doing so will void the Warranty. Planting cremation ashes directly with a tree, without proper treatment, can stress or even kill the plant. The high sodium and pH levels create conditions that are hostile to root development. If you want your memorial tree to thrive for years to come, using the Treebute Organic Soil Blend is essential when incorporating ashes.

What makes Treebute different from other memorial tree options?

Treebute is designed to be planted at home, in your own yard, patio, or indoor space. Unlike distant memorial forests where a tree is planted somewhere you may never visit, a Treebute grows right where you can see it. It becomes a gentle, living presence in your daily life.

Every kit includes a healthy tree of your choice, clear planting and care instructions, and the option to add scientifically formulated soil for safe ash incorporation. And our team understands that every memorial is deeply personal.

How is this different from having a tree planted in a forest?

Forest donation programs plant something far away and send a card. A Treebute Kit delivers a real, living plant to your door, or to your recipient's door, so it can be planted and tended at home and seen every day. It becomes part of daily life, not a distant certificate.
