Engraved River Rock Memorial Stone

A natural stone, engraved with their name, for the garden or anywhere you remember them.

Each of these memorials starts as a real river rock, not resin, so no two are alike in shape, color, or size. Their name and a graphic you choose are sandblasted into the stone and filled with paint. It's made to last a lifetime beside a memorial tree, or wherever you'd like to keep their memory close.

Engraved River Rock Memorial Stone

A natural stone, engraved with their name, for the garden or anywhere you remember them.

A real river rock, sandblasted with a name, a short message and a graphic, then filled with paint so it stays easy to read. Choose from four sizes. Every stone is shaped by nature, so yours will be entirely its own.

What Happens After You Order

Step 1

A natural river rock is chosen in the size you selected, each one unique in shape and color.

Step 2

Your name, words and graphic are sandblasted into the stone in the font you picked.

Step 3

The engraving is filled with paint so every letter is easy to read, then your stone ships with care.

Step 4

Set it in the garden, beside a memorial tree, or anywhere you'd like a quiet place to remember.

Why You'll Love the Engraved River Rock Memorial Stone

  • Truly one of a kind: These are natural river rocks, not resin, so each one varies in shape, color, thickness and size. The stone you receive won't match any other, including one you may have ordered before.
  • Made to be read for years: The lettering and graphic are sandblasted into the stone, then filled with paint so the words stand out clearly. It's built to last a lifetime, in the garden or anywhere else.

  • Room to say what matters: Keep it simple with a single name on the Standard stone, or use up to three lines of text plus a graphic on the Large. There are four fonts, and graphics for dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, other pets and non-pet designs.

What if they're not ready to plant right away?

The kit includes simple instructions to care for your tree until planting time. Many customers plant on a significant date, a birthday, an anniversary, or another day that feels right.

What sizes are available, and what fits on each?

There are four sizes. The Standard (5″–7″) holds one name up to 10 characters. The Small (4″–6″) holds your pet's name and a graphic. The Medium (6″–8″) fits two lines of text and a graphic, and the Large (8″–10″) fits three lines of text and a graphic.

Will my stone look like the one in the photo?

Not exactly. Each river rock is natural, so shape, color, thickness and size vary from stone to stone. The photos show the style of engraving, and your stone will be its own.

Can it stay outside?

Yes. These stones are made to last a lifetime and fit naturally into a garden, at the base of a memorial tree, or anywhere you'd like a place to remember.

Can I order a stone without paint?

We don't recommend it. Without paint, the engraving can be hard to see against natural rock, so every stone is filled with paint after sandblasting.

Is this only for pets?

Many families choose a river rock for a pet. With non-pet graphics and room for a few lines of text, the Medium and Large stones also work well for a person you're remembering.

Can I plant ashes without any special soil treatment?

We strongly advise against it and doing so will void the Warranty. Planting cremation ashes directly with a tree, without proper treatment, can stress or even kill the plant. The high sodium and pH levels create conditions that are hostile to root development. If you want your memorial tree to thrive for years to come, using the Treebute Organic Soil Blend is essential when incorporating ashes.

What makes Treebute different from other memorial tree options?

Treebute is designed to be planted at home, in your own yard, patio, or indoor space. Unlike distant memorial forests where a tree is planted somewhere you may never visit, a Treebute grows right where you can see it. It becomes a gentle, living presence in your daily life.

Every kit includes a healthy tree of your choice, clear planting and care instructions, and the option to add scientifically formulated soil for safe ash incorporation. And our team understands that every memorial is deeply personal.

How is this different from having a tree planted in a forest?

Forest donation programs plant something far away and send a card. A Treebute Kit delivers a real, living plant to your door, or to your recipient's door, so it can be planted and tended at home and seen every day. It becomes part of daily life, not a distant certificate.
