  • Light: Full sun to partial shade. More sun brings the heaviest, most fragrant bloom.

  • Water: Water regularly while your vine is establishing, then water deeply as needed. Keep soil evenly moist but avoid letting it stay waterlogged.

  • Space: Plan for a mature size of about 3 to 6 feet as a shrub or ground cover, though as a climbing vine with support, it can reach 10 to 20 feet or more.

Give this vine a trellis, arbor, or fence to climb, since it won't attach directly to masonry on its own. Prune after flowering to keep it within its space and encourage fuller growth the following season.
