Even if you're new to planting, the Dream Weaver Camellia is forgiving and rewarding, offering blooms when little else in the garden does.

  • Light: Partial shade to filtered sun. Avoid harsh, all-day direct sun, especially in warmer climates.

  • Water: Water deeply and regularly while your camellia is establishing. Once settled, let the top few inches of soil dry slightly between waterings.

  • Space: Plan for a mature size of about 6 to 8 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide. Give it room to grow as a specimen, or space multiple plants for a flowering hedge.

Camellias bloom on the previous year's growth, so avoid heavy pruning. Light shaping right after the blooms fade is enough to keep it healthy for the next season.
