About

A close cousin to the Southern Magnolia but reliably hardy to USDA Zones 5-9, this gorgeous pyramid shaped broadleaf evergreen will stay densly-branched and busky creating a supurb screening. The fragrance of the creamy-white 4″ flower blooms has been compared to gardenias, with a touch of citrus. This is a fast growing tree, adding about 18″ every year while young. Mature heights are typically 20′-30′, but some can get up to 50′, so be sure to choose a large open space with moist, well drained soil.
