Our Mission

Our “WHY” stems from a deeply personal loss.  After the unexpected death of a friend in May 2020, we wanted to provide his family with a meaningful expression of love and support.  Traditional sympathy gifts of food and flowers felt too temporary and inadequate.  Remembering our family’s tradition of planting trees for loved ones in our yards throughout the years, the power and symbolism of a living, lasting tree deeply resonated with our need to provide something more enduring.

When we couldn’t find a service that offered a full-package memorial solution – order, delivery, installation, and ease – we painstakingly figured it out.  And the cathartic impact of giving and receiving this tribute tree gift inspired us to create a company focused on making this experience accessible to others.

Treebute’s purpose is grounded in providing a simple yet profound way for people to honor loved ones through trees that they see grow and thrive for generations.  We are driven by a belief that these heartfelt expressions of love foster connection, healing, and provide comfort during times of loss.
