Our Mission

Elizabeth and Brian Schenk founded TREEBUTE in June 2020 with the mission to create a convenient and accessible way to honor loved ones while doing good for the planet. After the unexpected loss of a friend, we were reminded of the memorial tree gifts our family has planted over the decades as tangible tributes. TREEBUTE grew out of our desire to share the joy our family has experienced through integrating a living memory into our daily lives. We believe in the power of trees. They protect, shade, shelter, clean, nourish, and heal.
