If you have ever opened a home décor magazine, you have seen the beauty of a Fiddle Leaf Fig tree even if you didn’t know it! These trees are statement plants that compliment the sharp lines of modern design with the rich green color they bring to the space. Fiddle Leaf Figs reach a maturation height of 6 feet indoors which is perfect for any space. If you live in an area without winter frost, the Fiddle Leaf Fig can be planted outside to complete your garden, pool area, or backyard as well.

  • Sensational houseplant for the modern home
  • Thrives indoors in brightly lit areas all year long
  • Great addition to any outdoor space in warm areas
  • Rich green leafy color

Appearance: The large green leaves shaped like the body of a violin separate the Fiddle Fig Tree from other similar fig trees. These beautiful leaves can grow to be as big as 18 inches long and 12 inches wide. Their texture is smooth and leathery and has rippled edges.

Planting Location: Never expose your tree to freezing temperatures. If moving the tree around, try to keep it in the same temperature and amount of light because dramatic shifts can result in the burning of the foliage.

Pruning: No pruning is necessary. Water regularly, whenever the topsoil becomes dry. Every time you water, watch for water to come out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot- that will let you know that you have watered adequately.

The Fiddle Leaf Fig tree is easily maintained indoors- plant with normal house-plant soil, making sure to have a pot that has drainage holes, and water when the top soil becomes dry (enough that you notice water dripping from the drainage holes located at the bottom). Place the plant in a brightly lit location in your home. If you are planting it outdoors, try to place in a spot that would have similar light levels to indoors.

The Fiddle Leaf Fig is in the mulberry and fig family Moraceae and it comes from the tropical rainforests of western Africa. In places such as its origin spot or neighboring tropical regions, the tree can reach a maturation height of between 30 and 40 feet high and 30 feet wide.
